Limited Warranty

Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC warrants that any key, key fob, remote, or transponder key sold and programmed by Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC will be free from defects in workmanship and programming for a period of six (6) months from the original date of service.

If a covered defect is reported during the warranty period, Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC will, at its sole discretion, inspect, diagnose, repair, reprogram, or replace the warranted item. Prior to granting any warranty claim, Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC reserves the right to perform diagnostic testing to determine the cause of the failure and whether the failure is covered under this warranty.

This warranty does not guarantee replacement with an identical key, remote, or fob. If replacement is determined to be appropriate, Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC may provide an aftermarket or equivalent replacement product that performs substantially the same operational functions as the original item, even if the appearance, branding, buttons, or cosmetic design differs.

This limited warranty does not cover failures or damage resulting from, including but not limited to:

• Physical abuse, misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.
• Water, moisture, fire, excessive heat, chemicals, or environmental exposure.
• Batteries or normal battery depletion.
• Normal wear and cosmetic damage.
• Loss, theft, or misplaced keys.
• Damage caused by attempts to repair, modify, or reprogram the key by anyone other than Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC.
• Vehicle electrical, immobilizer, ignition, lock cylinder, Body Control Module (BCM), Theft Deterrent Module, antenna, wiring, software, or other vehicle-related defects that affect key operation.
• Manufacturer software updates, recalls, or changes performed after the original service.
• Any condition determined through diagnostic testing to be unrelated to the key or programming provided by Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC.

Customers seeking warranty service must return the warranted item to Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC for inspection. The company reserves the right to verify proof of purchase and the original date of service before performing warranty work.

No warranty replacement, repair, or refund will be provided until the item has been evaluated and Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC determines that the issue is covered under this limited warranty.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the sole remedy under this warranty shall be the repair, reprogramming, or replacement of the warranted key or remote, at the sole discretion of Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC.

Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of vehicle use.
• Towing charges.
• Rental vehicle expenses.
• Lost wages or income.
• Travel expenses.
• Personal inconvenience.
• Damage arising from delays in repair or replacement.
• Any other economic or consequential loss.

The maximum liability of Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC for any claim relating to the product or service shall not exceed the original amount paid for the warranted key or service.

By accepting service, purchasing a key, or requesting warranty work from Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC, the customer acknowledges that they have read and understand this Limited Warranty and Liability Disclaimer and agree to its terms.

The customer further releases and holds harmless Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC, its owners, members, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the use or failure of the key or remote, except where prohibited by applicable law or where caused solely by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC.

This Limited Warranty is the exclusive warranty provided by Thompson Automotive Clinic LLC and is in lieu of all other express or implied warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
